Always Bearing the Responsibility of the Duality
The call of Priest and King is not merely a message of empowerment or privilege; it is a summons to holy duty. It does not offer us the luxury of choice, nor the comfort of partial obedience. We are not permitted to select one role, or to neglect the other. We are commissioned—as followers of Christ—to embody both, fully and faithfully.
To live as only priest or only king is to live beneath our God-given calling. To forsake either anointing is to deny the wholeness of the identity Christ has bestowed upon us. Anything less is to diminish the gift and betray the responsibility.
We cannot cast off the mantle of priesthood, nor can we set aside the crown of kingship. Both have been entrusted to us; both must be borne with honor and dilligence.
As priests, we stand before God—interceding, sacrificing, leading in worship, and carrying others into His presence.
As kings, we stand before men—exercising authority with justice, stewarding creation, defending our realm, and advancing the Kingdom in the world.
This is not an option. This is our commission.
We must bear them both, and we must bear them always—
Banded together, being transformed, and ready to see the Kingdom thrive.
